How Guest Posting Can Help You Rank Better On Search Engines

There’s a lot of different speculation as to what the best form of business strategy is. However, it was said that business success is good marketing and innovation. How do we reach the people who are wanting to buy our products and how do we make our products better for them? If we can master those two things, we shouldn’t have any problem making sales. While there is a flurry of different marketing methods, today we’re going to talk about some of the best operations for digital marketing.

Because of the recent Covid-19 outbreak, there has been a large upheaval of people who are spending more and more time online. This means that it is increasingly difficult to reach people with pen and paper, but becoming more and more convenient to reach them through digital means. Today we’re going to talk about some of the better methods of reaching people online with a focus on guest posting and social media.

But before we begin, I want to stress how important it is that you have a professional looking website. If you don’t have a brick and mortar storefront, then the atmosphere of your company and quality of your product are portrayed by your website. If it looks low quality, they will assume that your products are low quality as well. The whole point of digital marketing in this sense it to bring your website and your products into the view of potential customers. If these looks shammy, then you still won’t make any sales. So before you start investing your time and money in marketing, make sure that what you’re marketing is a quality product. Now, let’s talk about guest posting and social media marketing.

1.      Guest Posting!

What exactly is a guest post? Guest posting is buying space or articles from larger corporations where there’s a lot of traffic. You’re putting your product in the way of thousands of guests on a busy website and funneling them into your website. When you put your product up front it not only makes it more noticeable for those who are visiting those websites but it will also make your website go up in search engines. We’ll talk about that in a second though. The cool thing about guest posting is that you can decide what kind of websites will portray your product. When you choose a website with a similar target market, you’re much more likely to bring in buyers than you would if you were marketing to the wrong people.

For example, if you’re selling basketball shoes, it would be much more effective for you to have a guest post on a website that talks about sports, athletes, or games than it would to have it posted on a site that talks about knitting, dogs, or another irrelevant item to sneakers. Luckily there are websites that can determine where you’ll have the most success due to extensive research and they’ll get the job done for you.

A guest posting service is a form of SEO as well. SEO stands for “search engine optimization.”  It’s a way where you can increase your ranking on google or online searches for your product. For instance, if you were to have a lot of links to your website using specific keywords or anchor words, it’s more likely that your website will pop-up earlier or higher on a search than otherwise. I’ll give you an example. Let’s use the basketball shoes again. If you were to guest post on a website that talked about sports and basketball and you made sure that there was a link to your website with the words “basketball shoes” then search engines would recognize that other websites are talking about your product and promote it higher than it would a product that has no publicity. Then, when people search up, “Basketball shoes” in their browser, your website would come up higher than others because it has more publicity and the search engine expects that you have either a better product or more people who would be interested in it because more people are already talking about it.

This is the wonder of guest posting! Not only do you make your website and product known on the website that you’re posting to, but you also create a more popular website due to google searches because it will appear higher on the listings than other products. It’s a two edged sword. It can become increasingly effective the more it’s applied. As your business begins to go up the rankings, it will have more clicks. Because let’s be honest, it’s very seldom that people go past the first page on a search. The goal is to get your business within the top page of any search so that the customer doesn’t have to scroll to see it.

2.      Social Media marketing!

This one is a little different than guest posting but also has a couple similarities. There are a couple different ways you can make this happen. The first one is to pay the social media platform directly and have your product come up as an ad. If you do this, it will be market as an ad but you’ll be in the direct sight of potential customers. Also, because of “cookies” you’ll only appear to people that have recently either been talking about or searching for relevant content that has something to do with your product. Essentially, you’ll only be paying money to reach your target market.

The other way you could go about this is to find social media influencers. These are people who have lots of followers on social media and have a large outreach. You contact them directly and they can promote your product for you. The best way to do this is to find someone who has something to do with your field of product, then you’ll be reaching people who are interested in your product as well.
