Weed Addiction Blog: Don’t Be Fooled By Marijuana’s Positive Benefits

So many people are ready these days to legalize marijuana for recreational use, touting its positive benefits and minimizing any side effects. Check out this weed addiction blog. They say weed isn’t addictive like other drugs, and they say the side effects can’t be dangerous. That’s not everyone’s opinion of course, but the legalization of marijuana is a big movement in today’s world. Take it from someone who knows all about marijuana addiction. This is not a good thing, and this weed addiction blog is going to focus on the truth.

Weed is very addictive, and the use of marijuana comes with many negative consequences. If a person wants to argue that legalization would help matters, experts could point to alcohol and how its legalization has not helped matters much, if at all. Either way, one cannot argue that marijuana isn’t addictive. I and many others are living proof of just how consequential a choice to smoke marijuana can be.

Think about the fact that smoking marijuana is first harmful to the lungs. Think about how its psychoactive effects can limit a person’s abilities to perform, whether driving a vehicle, working or socializing with others. Consider for a moment how potent weed is these days, with much higher levels of THC than it used to have decades ago. If you’re a smoker, are you able to quit?

Many people who smoke marijuana lie to themselves and say that they could quit in a heartbeat. It’s easy to say when they view the drug as positive and don’t feel like they actually need to quit. Marijuana addiction slowly takes over, and dependency on weed can send you on a downward spiral whether you think so or not. You lose your drive to do certain things, you suffer health consequences and you feel anxious without your weed when it’s not available.

I challenge you to think about something for a minute. If you currently smoke weed, think about a time when you didn’t. Do you really get more done these days? Do you really have a better life? Do you really think that you could so easily quit? If you do, then why don’t you go ahead and try. Not only will you understand more about the addictive nature of marijuana, but you will start to realize so many positive benefits of quitting if you’re successful.

Life isn’t about instant gratification. There is no need for self medication just because life gets tough. If we are only sympathetic towards ourselves and not empathetic enough towards others, where does that get us? What are you missing out on while you’re spending so much time smoking weed?

When I was smoking, I started to become a recluse. I began eating too much, and I wasn’t getting enough done. It wasn’t just about the amount of work I was doing but the cost of weed. I would tell myself that I would only smoke at the end of the night, but it doesn’t work like that. As I’m writing this weed addiction blog post, I want if nothing else for people to wake up and realize that a life without weed is much better than a life with weed.
