5 Habits You Can Copy from Successful Entrepreneurs

Sometimes, we can get obsessed with studying the habits of successful and young entrepreneurs, because we want to figure out how we can make the best out of our days and lives in general. But, how can you really tell if your daily habits are guiding towards success? These following habits can give you a quick insight that you can apply both in your professional and personal life. Copying these habits won’t guarantee you success, but it can’t hurt either.

Set Clear Goals

A young entrepreneur, Patrick Ambron, sets three goals for himself every day. He focuses only on them and works relentlessly, excluding everything else, no matter how urgent and important other tasks that pop up daily may seem. This helps him avoid any distractions that may come his way and he can achieve specific results in a short period of time. If you want to implement a similar habit, you can learn this lesson from Ambron and set your goals once a week. He also meets up with his teams and sets the goals everyone should be focusing on over the next week.

Be Visible

Many successful entrepreneurs do not fit the 9 to 5 mold; instead they work at a time that suits them the most, usually clocking in more hours than a traditional employee, and from a place that suits them the most. They know that in order to be creative and productive, you need to change your environment and experience different things.

When it comes to being visible, Richard Branson takes that to the next level, not only with his company, but also by making himself visible to his customers. He experiences his company firsthand, chats with his customers and employees in order to get a better feel of the progress of his company.

Wake Up Early and Lead a Healthy Lifestyle

Successful entrepreneurs know that, if they sleep longer on Saturdays and Sundays, they will throw off their sleep schedule for the rest of the week. This is mainly because the most productive hours of the day are those in the morning, and if there is some work that needs to be done on the weekends, they set their alarm earlier. For example, Twitter co-founder, Jack Dorsey, gets up at 5:30 in the morning for a six-mile jog and then finishes any business that he didn’t get to do over the work week. You can put more time in to your main business or spread the time if you have multiple income streams but the key is to ensure it’s time spent being productive.

So, forget about all those nasty habits you may have, like smoking, eating junk food and sleeping late and start waking up early to boost your productivity and get everything done, so that you will always have some extra time for yourself.

Don’t Take No for an Answer

While we appreciate humility, sometimes the only way to move forward is to ignore the ones who say no and have the confidence that can take you to the verge of success. Entrepreneur Elon Musk is known for not taking no for an answer – he simply don’t allow others to tell him that there is something he cannot do.

He always puts himself on a straight path and has a tunnel vision towards his goals. Elon never lets anyone tell him that he will not succeed. Since 90% of all startups fail only because of lack of determination and confidence in an idea, you need to do whatever it takes to succeed, or else you won’t make it as an entrepreneur.

Always Go One Step Further

Successful entrepreneurs are people who are always willing to take things one step further. One of those people is CEO of Yahoo, Marissa Mayer, who is known for always expecting results that are near-perfect. An interesting fact is that she once insisted that her team needs to test 41 different shades of blue to find the right one for Google search results. Some think of her dedication to perfection to be intimidating, but her whole career was built on commitment to output and high-quality results.

These are the habits of the successful entrepreneurs that have helped them achieve everything they wanted in their business career, so try to implement at least some of them. Like we said, success is not guaranteed, but it won’t hurt you either.
