The Little-Known Dangers of Suboxone: What Your Doctor May Not Tell You

A whopping 10.3 million Americans — that’s how many have misused opioids in 2018. That includes the 9.9 million people who abused prescription pain drugs as well as the 808,000 users of heroin.

That’s right — that’s how big the opioid crisis in the US has become. In fact, opioid overdose deaths account for over two-thirds of all overdose deaths in the US in 2017.

And it doesn’t help that there’s a lot of confusion about the dangers of Suboxone, an opioid treatment. Lack of information on it has caused serious side effects, many of which were preventable.

But what exactly is Suboxone in the first place, and why could it be “dangerous”? What are its potential adverse side effects?

We’ll answer all these questions in this post, so be sure to read on!

Uncoordinated Movement

Incorrect dosing and use of suboxone may result in problems with coordination. This can lead to jerky hands, unsteady grip, or even difficulty walking and moving your body. While these may seem like minor risks of suboxone, they can still be dangerous as they can lead to accidents.

For instance, a lack of coordination can make it difficult to walk down the stairs safely. A jerking leg or foot can make you lose your footing, causing you to slip, trip, or fall. It’s also dangerous if these symptoms occur while you’re driving.

Dizziness and Sleepiness

The buprenorphine content of suboxone gives it an antidepressant-like effect. This includes dizziness, drowsiness, and sometimes, even memory loss.

Again, these are minor suboxone risks, but they can still cause dangerous situations. For example, sleepiness may hit you while you’re driving, putting you at risk of car accidents. Keep in mind that every year, 100,000 car crashes result from drowsy driving.

Allergic Reactions

Incorrect use of suboxone may trigger allergic reactions like inflammation and rashes. It can lead to the breakout of hives, breathing difficulties, and even a huge drop in blood pressure.

If you’re one of the 50 million Americans with allergies, these reactions can be more adverse. Symptoms of an allergic attack often warrant emergency medical assistance.

Potential Addiction to Suboxone

Many studies have already proven the effectiveness of suboxone opiate addiction treatment. In fact, studies found that it’s safer and more effective than methadone treatment.

However, suboxone addiction is still possible, given its opioid component, buprenorphine. The “feel-good” effects of this drug can result in its misuse, which in the long run, can give way to dependence or abuse.

Possible Overdose

Even with its safety profile, it’s still possible to overdose from suboxone. Again, this has to do with its incorrect use and going beyond proper dosing. It can be even more dangerous when mixed with other opioids and benzodiazepines.

Eliminating the Potential Dangers of Suboxone

There you have it, your ultimate guide on the potential dangers of suboxone you should know about. Still, it’s far less dangerous than opioids, not to mention very effective against these drugs. With proper use, this addiction treatment likely won’t cause these side effects.

What’s important is to seek professional help for Suboxone opioid addiction ASAP. It’s never a good thing to self-diagnose and self-treat. Suboxone is safe and effective for treating opioid addiction so long as an authorized physician administers the drug.

3 Ways to Improve Your Success as an Entrepreneur

Being an entrepreneur is an extremely rewarding career. You get to constantly try new things. Your days are rarely boring. And you can earn a substantial income if things go well.

So, how do ensure success as an entrepreneur? There are no guarantees, but these 3 tips are sure to help.

#1 – Create a Business Plan (and follow it!)

There are numerous studies that prove that having written goals increase your chances of achieving them. Despite this, most entrepreneurs still don’t document their goals.

The best format in which to write your goals is a business plan. Your business plan serves two core purposes. It allows you to write down your short and long-term goals.

And then, it gives you the opportunity to explain how you plan to achieve them.

Creating a business plan and following it is a hallmark of successful entrepreneurs. You can either write your plan yourself or hire a professional business plan writer. Either way, you’ll come out ahead.

Here are three key elements to consider in your business plan:

  1. Document your goals and milestones. What are the long-term (5 or more years) goals for your business? Depending upon your company, you can state your goals in terms of sales, number of users, etc.

After you express your long-term goals, work backward. That is, identify what your one-year goal should be that would put you on the trajectory to achieving your long-term goal.

Now that you know what your company needs to look like in one year, identify the milestones that you must accomplish during the next 12 months.

For example, how many new clients do you need to secure? How many new employees must you hire and train? How many new products or services must you develop?

Apply dates to each milestone. For example, you can say that by the end of the first quarter of the year, you must hire a VP of Sales.
  2. Conduct market research. By conducting research on your industry, customers, and competition you’ll come up with ideas and strategies to improve performance.

For example, by better understanding the demographic and psychographic profiles of your target customers, you can better attract them. By understanding the weaknesses of your competitors, you can outmaneuver them.

And by knowing industry trends, you can steer your company in new directions while competitors do nothing and move towards obsolescence.
  3. Create financial projections. Create financial projections to validate your goals and keep your company on track to achieving them.

For instance, if your goal is to grow sales to $50 million, your financial projections would show just how many units you need to sell, and at what price, to get there. This helps confirm your goals are viable.

Likewise, your financial projections will incorporate growing expenses such as increasing salaries and marketing spends.

Your financial projections help manage your growth and importantly will alert you to outside financing needs if applicable.

#2 – Be Great at Time Management

Once your business plan is complete, you know what must be accomplished and when. Although knowing this puts you ahead of most other entrepreneurs, getting things done is often elusive.

Running a business incurs lots of questions from employees, customers and others. And oftentimes, answering questions and other day-to-day responsibilities prevent you from achieving your long-term milestones. The key to overcoming this challenge is time management.

The best time management technique in this regard is simple: block out time on your calendar each day to work on your annual goals. Even if it’s just one hour per day, that may be enough.

The key is sticking to it and not letting anything interrupt this time. You can’t answer your phone. You can’t check email or social media. And you can’t answer a burning question from an employee or customer at this time.

You simply need to focus those minutes and hours exclusively on attaining your long-term goals.

#3 – Have a Support System (Advisors are Key)

Very few entrepreneurs achieve lasting success without relying on others, particularly people outside of their organizations. Sometimes these outsiders are investors, and sometimes they are friends, colleagues, mentors or board members.

I have seen the most success when entrepreneurs form a board of advisors. Look for advisors who have achieved lasting success. Maybe they are industry executives or successful business owners or entrepreneurs.

The key is that your advisory board collectively will have lots of experiences that you don’t have.

When it comes time to deal with a difficult decision, perhaps about the direction of your company or how to deal with a difficult employee or customer, your advisory board will almost certainly provide quality ideas regarding how to deal with the problem.

Achieving lasting success as an entrepreneur is fulfilling and rewarding. By creating a business plan, focusing on time management, and getting advisors to support you, you will be much more likely to achieve your dreams. So, don’t waste any time and start doing each of these today.

Aluminum Printed Circuit Boards

Technology evolves every day with the addition of advanced elements and devices that create our lives simple. A few years back we were dependent on end to end wiring and connectors to electrically connect totally different electronic elements. The inception of PCB substantially removed the need of end to finish wiring and gave a completely new look to the electronic business. Today, connecting completely different components on the board isn’t a big deal that comes with lightweight and covers less space as compared to previous standard strategies.

Printed circuit boards, also known as PCBs, are made from several metals. These one-of-kind PCBs are typically known as metal core printed circuit boards. The metal does modification based on use or application. Aluminum PCBs are famous as one of the foremost popular sorts of metal MCPCBs out there, which happen to find purpose in a quite good range of modern applications these days. Aluminum PCBs feature metal-based and copper-clad laminates to create it a superb thermal conductor and electrical insulator among others.

Types of Aluminum PCBs

Through-hole aluminum PCBs – within the process of producing or manufacturing these sorts of PCBs, aluminum material used is pre-drilled with the drilled hole getting back-filled using dielectric material. After that, the aluminum is sent to be laminated, a step where thermal bonding equipment is important in laminating either side of the aluminum. once completing this step, the aluminum PCB assembly gets through-drilled. to produce electrical insulation, pass the plated through-holes through some clearance found within the metal.

Flexible aluminum PCBs – now more than ever, adjustable aluminum PCBs are standard within the market while being considered as one of the most recent developments in Insulated Metal Substrates materials. Adjustable aluminum PCBs are extremely preferred as they’re known to supply effective electrical insulation, exceptional flexibility, and thermal conductivity. in addition, they’re known for being capable of bending easily and guaranteeing higher stability.

Hybrid aluminum PCBs – These PCBs are factory-made by a process that thermally fuses processed non-thermal materials onto an aluminum PCB substrate. In several cases, the use of a 2 or 4 layered board.

Applications of Aluminum PCBs

Aluminum PCBs are among one of the foremost common and wide used circuit boards in the world. They find their applicability in many applications and are ideal for situations for occasions with high heat dissipation needs.

Applications that need high power or high thermal temperature reduction have primarily relied on aluminum PCBs. even though the initial idea for aluminum PCBs was to change supply elements that required high power, aluminum-backed PCBs appear to have gained rapid popularity and are now used primarily in LED applications like traffic lights, general lighting, and automotive lighting. The intense light made by LEDs creates high levels of heat, that aluminum directs away from components. An aluminum PCB extends the lifetime of an LED device and provides additional stability. You’ll find aluminum substrates in street lights, stop lights and home lighting. They allow power converters to vary currents and regulate electronics. Creators in several different industries also find use in aluminum circuit boards, however, they don’t implement them as usually.

PCB manufacturing, from prototype to massive scale defect-free production and PCB assembly services is a complicated job. Not each PCB Manufacturer Company can be reliable. one among the most important markets for producing PCB aluminum is China. With such a lot of best PCB manufacturing companies in China, It’s not easy to select one. One of the leading companie is PCBONLINE placed in Hong Kong, which has fair pricing, quality assurance and over twenty years of experience in this field of manufacturing.

How Startup Employees Can Maximize their 2020 Returns

A growing number of people are employed by new, innovative companies just starting to make their way. In the tech industry, startups have driven innovation, even long before they go public or are purchased by a larger tech giant.

Many startups offer strong benefits, especially if they are well-funded by venture capital. However, some startup employees may not know how best to take advantage of these benefits to save on their annual income taxes.

Here are a few things for you to keep in mind to help you save on your startup taxes when you file your tax return and throughout the year.

Planning Your Retirement

Planning your retirement is good for your future, but it is also important when planning to minimize your tax liability. Many startups offer 401(k)s or other retirement programs.

Learning more about which one is best for you can help you to reduce your startup taxes. When selecting your retirement plan, consider some of the following choices:

  • Traditional 401(k) or Roth 401(k): A 401(k) plan is different than an Individual Retirement Account or IRA. An IRA is an individual plan, whereas a 401(k) is a group plan provided to all employees by a company.

However, you can still choose between traditional or Roth contributions. Traditional 401(k) contributions are deducted from your income before taxes are taken out, directly reducing your tax liability for the year.

With a Roth 401(k), these contributions are deducted after your taxes are already withheld. But with a traditional 401(k), you save on taxes now but pay them later, when you take distributions in retirement.

If you opt for a Roth 401(k), you’ll pay income taxes now, but take your distributions tax-free after you retire.
  • Planning your contributions: In 2019, there is a $19,000 limit on personal contributions to your 401(k) plan. This marks a $500 increase from the previous year.

Of course, the amount that you can contribute depends on your overall salary and other concerns.

Make sure that you contribute enough to be eligible for your employer’s matching program, as this is a major plus of a company-sponsored 401(k).

If you’re concerned about saving for other large expenses, you may be able to benefit from some of the exceptions for early 401(k) withdrawals.

Manage Your Payroll Withholding

When you go to work at your new company, you may fill out IRS Form W-4 on your first day of work.

This form can have a significant effect on your startup taxes, but many employees don’t think about payroll withholding until it is time to file annual tax returns, especially if there is a significant difference between taxes paid and taxes owed.

If your withholding is correct, you will have around the same amount of taxes withheld from your paycheck as you owe to the IRS. This means you won’t need to write a check to pay your tax bill, and you also won’t receive a large tax refund.

While many people enjoy receiving a tax refund, it is good to remember that this is essentially the result of an annual 0% interest loan to the government, and you could have had that money during the year.

There are some special withholding rules to keep in mind, especially for bonuses, which can be a major contribution to a startup worker’s salary.

If you make big changes during the year, like marriage, divorce or having children, your withholding may also need to change. In addition, you may want to keep other income in mind.

If you have a side business or perform freelance work, you will need to pay taxes on that income, although you can also claim small business tax deductions.

Since that income does not come from your employer, it is a separate obligation to the IRS.

Employer Equity Compensation

Startups often offer compensation in the form of stock options and equity in the company. There are specific tax implications of this type of compensation.

However, you have more control over how and when you are taxed for this type of income because you generally need to pay taxes only when you decide to sell your shares or exercise your options.

When you think about how best to make use of this kind of compensation, the tax implications can be a significant factor to keep in mind.

If you’re an early startup founder or even employee, your shares may qualify as Qualified Small Business Stock, providing some significant tax benefits.

There are several different types of stock options, including the following:

  • Incentive Stock Options
  • Restricted Stock Units
  • Nonqualified Stock Options
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plans

Each has its own tax treatment, so it is important to be aware of the type of program your startup offers.

HSA vs. FSA

Health savings accounts (HSAs) and flexible spending accounts (FSAs) are both employee benefits that can help you save on your taxes. It’s also important to understand the difference between these options.

You can use an HSA through work, but you can also open one on your own. You can only use an HSA if you have a “high-deductible health plan,” in which you have significant out-of-pocket costs before your medical expenses are covered by insurance.

HSAs are savings accounts to be used on medical expenses, and they are expected to accumulate year over year. You can take a tax deduction for your HSA contributions.

Investments for HSAs can grow without you needing to pay taxes, and your eventual withdrawals are also not taxed.

On the other hand, anyone can use an FSA, regardless of the type of health insurance you have. You can only open an FSA through your employer, and it is designed for spending only in the current year.

At most, you can rollover $500 in your FSA to the following year. This is one reason why you’ll see so many promotions for glasses, contact lenses, hearing aids and other medical costs at the end of the year.

If you put money in your FSA and use it for medical expenses, it will not be taxed, so an FSA can be a good way to plan for known medical expenses you will face throughout the year, including prescription drugs, insurance co-pays, vision or hearing assistance or other medical devices.

Making the Most of Your Commuter Tax Benefits

Many startups offer commuting benefits as part of their compensation. You may be able to buy a monthly public transit or parking pass through a payroll deduction.

It will be paid for with pre-tax income and deducted prior to calculating your ax payout. In order to access this exemption, your employer will need to offer this type of commuter benefits plan.

In 2018, monthly contributions were limited to $260 a month, plenty to cover this type of cost even in large cities.

Because these expenses are excluded from your taxable income, you get a discount on your commuter costs. In most cases, you’d already pay these commuter expenses, so the savings can be very welcome.

While tax reforms in 2017 eliminated biking benefits, public transit, and parking passes remain tax-advantaged if your startup offers the appropriate plan.

Practical Ways to Achieve Your Financial Goals

There are many theories concerning why consumerism and debt is rampant. From not earning enough money to keeping up with the Joneses, the amount of consumer debt that exists is staggering. It also happens to be rising along with the cost of living. While every situation is unique, there are practical ways to achieve your financial goals. Check out the tips below.

Negotiate Credit Card Interest Rates

If you have a credit card, consider contacting the bank that issued the card to negotiate a lower interest rate. As part of their customer retention plan, they will sometimes accommodate these requests. Keep in mind that professionalism and kindness when asking will boost your chances of success. One valid reason for asking is raising your credit score. It’s something that warrants a lower interest rate.

Create a Personal Finance Vision Board

There have been countless stories about the power of a vision board. Highly successful business owners and entrepreneurs encourage use of a vision board because it allows them to visually see their thoughts and hopes for the future. Even science has proven that writing down a goal will increase the likelihood of achieving it. Creating a personal finance vision board enables you to see what you want for the future. If nothing else, you’ll remember that your efforts have a purpose.

Refinance Student Loans

Refinancing student loans has been of significant value to many people struggling to deal with a mountain of debt. Quite frankly, it can be a savvy way to manage your finances for a variety of different reasons. Some people refinance student loans when they’re buying a home as a way to reduce their monthly expenses.

Establish Short-Term Targets

There’s something about achieving a goal that has the power to lift your spirit. By setting short-term and attainable goals, you’re able to start checking things off your list, which will build the momentum needed to continue. For example, if you want to go on a cruise in a year, you can start by saving $10 a week. You’ll have $960 saved in one year. You can replace the cruise with a new electronic device or however you want to treat yourself. These can be goals for much smaller items.

Recruit an Accountability Partner

Having an accountability partner is a trick that works in many areas of life. If you need to lose weight, it’s good to have someone that can tell you when you’ve fallen off the wagon. Just make sure it’s someone you trust to be honest. Choosing the right person is important because you don’t want to destroy a friendship. Having a loved one hold you accountable in any area can be tough, but worth it. Hopefully it’s a situation where you can hold each other accountable. Just like exercise partners are more likely to stay fit, partners in financial wellness are more likely to build wealth.

Achieving your financial goals isn’t complex, but it’s not easy. It requires intention and consistency. Taking a practical approach will increase your chances of success.

What should you know about HVAC?

Can air quality actually make you sick? Is your HVAC system functioning properly and is it the reason for all the troubles you are facing? Are there any HVAC services needed to make the quality of your life at home better?

These are the questions which often worry people who all of a sudden start having some health issues they have never faced before. Like, for instance, chronic headaches, or when your kid starts having chronic cough or adenoidal growth, or when you get eczema. All this looks really alarming and makes you wonder what to expect and how to deal with this problem?

First of all, make sure that you have checked the symptoms that are closely linked to poor indoor quality, like, for example, sinus congestion, cough and sneezes, recently appeared fatigue and headaches, irritation of the eyes and throat, allergy and possible hypersensitivity. If you have marked at least several, this might indicate that the quality of indoor air is rather poor and you have to contact your HVAC contractor or to do something about it on your own.

The easiest way to get the answer to the question bothering you about the quality would be definitely use indoor quality monitor and test the quality of the air at home and check for mold as it might be one of the reasons for causing this unpleasantness. Or just download and use the app to track the quality and get personalized health recommendations and use it all the time and everywhere.

However, apart from the modern ways of checking and controlling the quality of indoor air, there are things needed to be done and monitored regularly, such as ventilation in your house. It is a well known fact that poor ventilation is one of the main causes for most indoor air problems as it is connected with the accumulation of different contaminants from various sources as stove or fireplace emissions, building material itself can lead to air problems, not to say anything about chemicals and cleaning supplies that are kept inside and are the reason for “breathing difficulty”.

The so-called “humidifier fever”, an illness caused by poorly maintained humidifiers and air conditioners, is threatening more and more households every year causing chills, headaches and chronic coughs. Fungi and bacteria grow quickly in the warm water and the water is getting in to the air and is inhaled by people and that is the way it is distributed all around the house.

What possibly can be done to improve the situation with indoor air quality? The answer is a lot, but the action plan might look rather easy and achievable if put into several groups.

First, improve ventilation system. It must be properly installed and maintained. If you need an extra advice, get a consultation from the HVAC specialist. Think of using extra exhaust fans in some “potential problem” areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, or basements to get rid of contaminants that might be generated there.

Then, reduce the amount of combustion products, for instance, by installing special hoods above gas stoves, check furnaces and water heaters on a regular basis for them to operate properly. Do not smoke at home and try to stay away from warming up your car in a garage that is attached to your home.

As for room humidifiers and a/c, remember to use distilled water and change it daily. Use dehumidifiers in the rooms with increased humidity and control the indoor humidity level.

If all these things are done regularly and properly, you will not have to worry about indoor air and your health anymore.
